  1. Hi Katherine,
Info about your talk went out on the Michigan Burning Man list. I’m planning to attend your talk and look forward to hearing your perspective. I’m a 15 year burner, just retired as volunteer co-ordinator for the Michigan Burning Man regional community, and just took on a new volunteer role with the Burning Man organization as the Meta Regional for Social Alchemy. As you can imagine, I’m someone who is very interested in how Burning Man has developed over the years as an organization, how we continue to motivate and engage volunteers, and how regional communities grow out of and related to Burning Man.

Locally, I work for a museum contributing to exhibit development and working as a venue operations manager. Much of what I’ve discovered through Burning Man applies in my work realm as well.

    Welcome to Michigan!

    1. Hi Cooky, thanks for your warm welcome and introduction! I really appreciate hearing from you, and I look forward to learning more about your experiences with the regionals and how Burning Man has impacted or been synergistic with other experiences. See you soon! Katherine
